Backend Developer at SF Consumer Startup

We're looking for a talented Backend Engineer who thrives in startup environments and enjoys building systems from the ground up within small teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our existing backend, utilizing platforms like Supabase, Google Cloud, and more.
• Vectorize our large-scale video and user data to enhance advanced recommendation systems and search functionalities.
• Improve the implementation of LLMs within our application and quickly build infra for new features with OpenAI and other relevant APIs.

Required skills:

• Expertise in Python and JavaScript.
• Proven experience in developing and taking full ownership of backend, particularly in startups or something you've built entirely from scratch.
• Ability to build backends reliant on AI (openAI, gemini, etc) and vectorize large data sets

Really nice to have:

• Experience with complex tasks involving headless browsers and agents.
• Experience with social media or adjacent algorithms.
• Familiarity with video data pipelines, especially for video analysis and large-scale data extraction utilizing AI/ML techniques.
